Certainly feel the change in temps but it still wasn't enough to coax Crossy Lad out for a swim as his now frail 50 year old body doesn't show if its not over 25 degrees it seems.
Good old Angus Boyd won't let me down though and after another 500m warm up decided to do 1 x 500m followed by 10 x 50s and a final 500m trying to repeat the time as the first rep.
Had another mate in the pool starting about the same time so was helped to start with and knocked out a 8.15 rep. Broke the 50s down by working hard up the pool and cruising back all off a set time, then tried to repeat the 500m set. A lot harder second time around but was happy enough to only lose 9 seconds to touch out in 8.24
2ks all up and starting to get a feel for the water again
A quick trip over to get some more work done on the glute, plenty of dry needling and was given loads of exercises that i have to do in order to get it 'fired up'. - boring as bat $hit but will have to do.
Keen to get back out with the boys tomorrow just not sure how much to push it though or even may just take a few more days off to be on the cautious side.
Got to go into town anyway for work so i might venture out for a rep or two of the10 minute efforts after my morning coffee and chat with the Shire's finest - Lady Laura..
Cheers
