Return to A.B.C Pool

Stunning spring day in town as i returned to the A.B.C Pool for the first time of the new season. Good little group out with Coach Walker and Manly Steve leading from the front whilst i formed a decent 2nd group with the likes of Leechy, Kroney and The Champ.
Got in early to knock out an easy warm up 500m before the pace was on for the first 300m rep, A few technique laps as Pete tried to correct my many flaws before returning for the 5 x 200s, If the 300 was fast then the first 200 nearly blew us out the water as i touched out in 3.03 Settled slightly after that for the remaining 4 although the pace didn't drop much for the 100m as we seemed to be rolling on every 1.40
This pool is so much faster than the P.A.P as indicated by the times, felt good though throughout as i jumped out with another 2.5ks done for the day.
Pretty much 7ks of swimming done for the week, i think that's more then my running mileage has been.

Came home to a nice surprise in the post with our latest trophy for the HuRTS cabinet. The old Pensioners took out the 'Over 40s' division in the teams event. Thanks to David Tonge (46.25), Fats (49.18) and Bruce Lambert's (50.37), it then meant Macca's (50.xx) and my (51.) were not needed in the count.

Big weekend once more, out tonight with the team , Stoke head to the capital tomorrow  to take on Moaning Wenger and his Gunner boys. Tough game for the boys as all the new signings will take a little time to settle. With this in mind I'll have to back (reluctantly) Arsenal for the win 2-1

Will also get out for a trot on Sunday morning to check out how this bloody glute is going on.

Have a great weekend
Train well, stay safe
Cheers.

Life in the Old Pensioners yet - another one for the HuRTS cabinet - thanks to team members Tonge, Fattorini, Lambert, McClarnon and Lindop who took out the 'Over 40 team division.
